Our Story
Why This Mountain
Millions of years ago, this peak was an ancient seabed — the floor of a prehistoric ocean. When the waters receded and the earth pushed upward, a forest of redwoods took root in that primordial soil. They've been standing here ever since, hidden atop the peak of Mount Veeder, invisible from the valley floor below.
The Wappo people knew this ridgeline. The waterfall has run through this canyon for millennia. The mountain's healing springs still flow through the land.
We didn't build a wellness retreat. We recognized that this land already was one.
This is not a resort. It's a private sanctuary on a mountaintop that has been healing what arrives at its summit since before anyone was here to notice.
